TRI COUNTY MOMS START THEIR 7TH YEAR WORKING FROM HOME
TriCountyMoms.com combines career with motherhood

Pompano Beach, Florida – Just over six years ago Linda Blanco started the dream of a life time, working from her home! Tri County Moms (TCM) offers women a way to earn an income while raising their family. Founded in 2002, TCM provides information on a healthy, safe lifestyle through alternatives. Today many are torn between a career and motherhood. TCM say moms should not have to make a choice!

Prior to TCM, Linda was a career mom of 18 years. Working 50+ hours a week and missing those important years of her children’s life. Downsized from Corporate America, she was forced to look for another income source. Realizing then, she never wanted to let her income and life be controlled by someone or something else she started TriCountyMoms. Linda says, “I am celebrating my six years of a healthier lifestyle and looking forward to my 7th

TriCountyMoms got their biggest exposure when Tina Verona from CBS called to set up an interview. Linda remembers thinking a friend was pulling a joke. She was thrilled to find that it was for real The CBS news team would be coming to the house to do a story on “Be Your Own Boss”. That day Linda was able to share her dream and company direction. The chance to show that a mom of two, ages 13 and 16, could still be a “there all the time mom” and run a successful home business. A dream come true!

Often moms think of leaving the rat race of an eight to five JOB, but are afraid to take a chance. They want to be home for their family, so the concept of family unity still remains in today’s world. Many feel the income will suffer as they venture into something new. Linda suggests to start working from home part time along your current source of income. Then in time, drop the “day JOB” and be your own boss.

Choosing the work from home situation for you depends on you, your interests and what you are willing to do. Select an industry that has a future, one that is growing and rock solid. Within the next ten years, the health and wellness industry is predicted to be the next trillion-dollar industry. As chronic illnesses and diseases rise, many people are realizing that a healthy lifestyle through prevention is the answer for good health. With these facts in mind Linda decide to start TCM.

I am GRATEFUL for Working from Home

Filed under: Personal Interests — Linda @ 5:15 pm

As “The Sceret” says BE GRATEFUL!

I must say I am very grateful for the company who downsized me 9 years ago. Even though at the time it did not seem so great! Many times we hold the hate from someone or something and we just need to let it go.
So I thank the company for allowing me to move forward in my life and start Tri County Moms.
Being a stay home mom in the winter allows me to stay in my warm house, soft robe and fuzzy slippers. It allows me the time to prepare a warm breakfast for my children and the chance to take them to school so they do not have to weather the cold. COLD down where I am is almost funny, South Florida!! But those 40″s and below really make me thankful that I am home.
Actually all moms work at home and are not paid for it. Did you know if a mom was to be paid for ALL the chores and errands they do their salary would be over $134,000. Well I never seen the money from being a mom but the smiles and precious moments are “priceless”. Being paid to be a stay home mom came into play when I started my own company. I partnered up with an ethical company that focuses on “wellness”.
Did you know within the next ten years, the health and wellness industry is predicted to be the next trillion dollar industry? Chronic illness and disease is rising in unprecedented numbers, and more people are realizing that a healthy lifestyle and prevention are the answers for better health.
Starting TriCountyMoms.com was the smartest and healthiest move I ever did!

Live your dreams,
Linda

Filed under: Personal Interests — Linda @ 7:40 am

Moms everywhere are wanting to stay home, raise there own kids and help out with the bills! What I say to you is GO FOR IT! I am not telling you to quit your “other” job but I am telling you to start working from your home AROUND your “mom jobs” and the outside JOB.
Now you may be thingking who has spare time??
I never said it would be easy but the effort is worth it. When you are able to QUIT the JOB you will be there when your children are home sick, in a special event and the income from your work at home business will be “your” control.
So moms take a look at working from your home. Be a smart mom and start your search for the home business for you. The search took me 9 months, as it does many, but the 7 years I have been working from home I have not missed a single childs event, sent them to school when they were sick and the bills are being paid!!
MOM START YOUR LOOK NOW!!!!!

A work at home mom,
Linda

Asthma anyone!

Filed under: Health, Personal Interests — Linda @ 1:27 pm

Moms, I just had to share with you something that I have found to be true. For years my son suffered from asthma. Then my daughter came along and she too started with the asthma. Any way you need to take a serious look at the TOXIC products in your homes. The shampoos, toothpastes, cleaners, laundry products and air freshners. THEY are the culprit. After getting those from our home my children breath much easier. NO MORE expensive medcines and no more miss school days.
Did you know asthma is on the rise 400%??? Well connect it to all the great “smells” of cleaners and personal care products. Those products are killing us. Use safer alternatives and NOT harmful products loaded with chemicals.
TriCountyMoms.com has some great info on what products are doing to our childrens health. Take a look!

Tips for Stay at Home Moms

Filed under: Motivational, Personal Interests — Linda @ 7:35 pm

By Rachel Kubicek

There are no black and white answers when it comes to the question of how to be an organized mom.

There are too many sticks in the spokes of life to plan for life to run smoothly all of the time.

Still, there are ways to be more organized and less stressed throughout the day, according to local author and speaker Cindy Sigler Dagnan, and stay-at-home mom Amy Wheeler.

Make time for yourself

“That is one of the weakest areas for any woman, whether she works outside the home or not. It’s our nature to be a nurturer,” said Dagnan.

She recommends using nap time to take time for yourself, which is easier when you get the kids on the same nap schedule.

“The No. 1 thing I tell moms is to take your nap first and then when you get up you still have an hour and 15 minutes to yourself. Use that time to do aerobics, sit on the porch with the baby monitor or read,” Dagnan said.

Wheeler, of Joplin, feels she has a better attitude and is a nicer mom when she takes time for herself.

“I usually try to do something I don’t get to do very often just to make it worth my time. I like to work out to have that as my own time,” she said.

Plan for dinner

Dagnan suggests posting a menu on the refrigerator and planning ahead before going shopping.

“If you are a coupon user, make your list on a business-size envelope and put your coupons inside,” she said. “I keep things to make spaghetti on hand all the time and buy the huge family pack of ground beef at Sam’s and cook it all at once and freeze it so it’s ready. That eliminates the most time consuming part of cooking.”

Wheeler will write down different meal ideas each week and will leave two evenings open so the family can run out and grab something. “Sometimes I will use the slow-cooker, depending on what we have going on for that day,” she said.

Bedtime routine

Dagnan said that young children thrive on routine.

Her kids go to bed at 7:45 p.m. and lights out isn’t until 8:15, so they can read and unwind.

The Wheelers have a certain bedtime for the kids also.

“The youngest is at 8 p.m. and the oldest is at 8:30 p.m., then it’s our time,” said Wheeler.

Take time with your spouse

“Your No. 1 earthly priority is your husband,” Dagnan said. “You can’t just put it on auto-pilot until the baby is grown.”

She suggests that couples plan a date night once a month.

“Dress up and cuddle at the movies,” she said. “It’s really important to take that time and connect.”

Limit activities

Dagnan said her kids are allowed to choose one activity per semester. Limiting activities also allows the family to keep a scheduled bedtime.

“We have dinner together six out of seven nights and a once a week family time, which is sacred,” she said.

Wheeler says it helps when her husband, Starbuck, helps out with their 3-year-old’s activities.

“When you are married, it’s a partnership to raise the kids,” she said.
