Well we have some very exciting news regarding that goal that we wanted to update you on. You already know that walking 24,900 miles is equivalent to planting 488 trees. Well we have recently passed the 10,000 mile mark and we’ve partnered with Americanforests.org to plant those trees. 488 trees is great, but we think that 4,880 trees is really living the change. So that’s what we’re doing. That means that each mile that is walked by the LIME.com community is now worth 10 trees being planted. We’d be so grateful if you could update your visitors so that we can spread the word and really get folks out and walking.
Check out our current progress at http://www.lime.com/live_the_change/walkout
Thanks again for reading this; please let me know if you have any questions or if I can clarify anything for you.

All the best,
Max

Tammy,
Educating people is what we all need to do. There are just so many issues that are ignored. Learning about toxins is something all of us need to concentrate on. Toxins ARE harming us and our environment. Thanks for reading the article!!

Great article! However, since my son is now approaching the "I want this because my friends do" stage, I was hoping for a great comeback. Didn't find one. LOL! Any suggestions?

Ah... That time of year again. I however, almost never make New Year's resolutions any more. I don't believe in waiting until the first of the year to make positive changes. No time like the present. (Which, of course, is the first of the year right now!)

I would like to invite your readers to visit two of my blogs though, since they fit with two of the five resolutions you listed. http://TreadThis.com is my fitness related blog for the Home Treadmill Owner and http://monitorreflections.blogspot.com is my weight loss blog. (I lost eleven pounds at the END of 2006!) Hopefully they will help inspire others with their resolutions.

KC,
I agree!
I do think it is up to us parents to educate our kids on healthy eating habits!
Fast food no matter what "character" is representing it is not what we want our children eating daily!!
How many parents offer kids carrots, celery and fruits as after school snacks???
